Dark Knight Rises

The recent box office chart this weekend pulled a lot of reaction, as the latest Batman series, ‘Dark Knight Rises’ for the second week took the number one spot on the ranking.

Despite  Friday night’s opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London which drew a record setting 40.7 million viewers in the United States, the Christopher Nolan‘s Batman series pulled in a whopping sum of $64 million this weekend.

The movie starring Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman, has been the subject of many reviews and has topped the charts over a slow weekend bringing its total worldwide earning to $537.3 million.

The comedy ‘Ice Age: Continental Drift’, which features the vocals of Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, and Ray Romano generated the sum of $13.3 million.

The Watch starring Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn‘s comedy came in third place with $13 million in its first weekend.

Next on the list is ‘Step Up Revolution’, coming fourth with $11.8 million.

Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis‘ comedy ‘Ted’ was the fifth on the list, bringing in the sum of $7.3 million
