ANKARA FASHION SHOW

Fashion heads who appreciate Style Events  with its glitz, glamor, lights, action with all the paraphernalia attached to it,  must have gotten much more than they bargained for at the just concluded City people Ankara fashion show.

In recent times, there had been lots of fashion shows, style parties/events but there was something exceptional and special about the Ankara fashion show that captivated every guest that graced the occasion.

The event which was held at Timesquare event centre on the 29th of july 2012 was graced with the presence of fashionistas, big shots and major players in the entertainment industry, models, journalists and so forth.

The occasion commenced with a grand red carpet graced by guests gorgeously dressed in vibrant and colorful Ankara designs. On the red carpet was RnB crooner Essence, Top Dj Flexy, King David. Designers like Kssh, Roots fashion, Oge coutre, all promising to keep the guests amazed.

Short and precise  interviews  went underway conducted admirably by the media, with cameras going “click click” snapping away. Refreshments were served with lots of fine wine and Cocktails enjoyed by  guests in readiness for main show.

Twenty minutes later, Invitees were fully settled underneath some breathtaking chandeliers giving the occasion a royal look.

Kennis Music songstress Essence sang the national anthem and an opening prayer was said and poooow!!! the show starts!

Lolo of Wazobia FM perfectly delighted her fans with rib cracking jokes synonymous to her on-air art.

There were musical performances by Bj-Sam, King David but the highlight of the musical segment was the 5yr old Ozzy buccho who thrilled the audience with his cute kiddie swag and interesting dress code. There and then the audience knew there wouldn’t have been yet another place they’d have loved to be.

So the time now came for the business of the day to get started, and trust me it wasn’t a disappointment as beautifully looking models cat walked unto the runway in breathtaking Ankara designs that got most people like me speechless.

Aradyte coutre, Debbis African stitches, Baige, chichi, Alabi coutre, Godess coutre, kshhh, Rootz fashion all successfully captivated the audience.

No wonder, Ankara fabrics and designs is taking a new turn to be the new haute! With American & European designers using the many colors of Ankara fabrics of Africa as inspiration, many Nigerian and African designers have found their own voice & inspiration by looking within to  the African fashion industry.

With events such as this, Nigeria is sure taping into the resourcefulness and creativeness of the young and youth which in turn will put the country on a map just as the beautiful fabric called Ankara has made all Africans proud.
