Darey Art Alade signs US-returnee Zaina to Soul Muzik

Soul Muzik, also home to Darey and Mo Eazy, joins other labels like Chocolate City, Mavin Records and EME who have signed female artistes in recent times. There had been a huge drop in the number of active female singers in the country; all that is changing now, and Zaina says she's 'here to stay, to play my part and add my voice to what's going on in my great country'. 

Not entirely a newcomer, Zaina has in the past worked with eLDee, STYL Plus, Sasha, Lynxxx and received nods from the popular Nigerian Entertainment Awards. 

And to kick off Zaina's stay at the label, her debut singles "Lolola" and "Totally Yours" (featuring multi-award-winning Jamaican dancehall star Wanye Wonder) have been released. 

LOLOLA, Zaina's official debut Soul Muzik single, is a party anthem for every lady who's ready for that good love. The message is simple: "now is the time for love, no games, no preamble, no second thoughts, no pretence, let's get straight to the point, I'm ready for the next level so make your move!" 

On TOTALLY YOURS, Zaina features Jamaican reggae sensation Wayne Wonder, for a soulful exploration of timeless love, submission and devotion. It's a sensual love song about friendship that has evolved beyond the platonic. It's about a commitment that has overcome the battles of loyalty and doubt. Zaina and Wayne collaborate 'wonderfully' to express the thoughts of a couple in love who have come to that special place in their relationship where they are certain beyond any doubt that they are ready to give themselves totally and completely to each other - body and soul. This is Zaina's 2nd official Soul Muzik single. 

Both cuts are available on radio stations across Nigeria from today Wednesday September 12, as well as online, and on other platforms.Her debut album is due next year.

Mo'Cheddah In Hot Romance With Ondo Monarch's Oil & Gas 'Big Boy' Son

'Ko Maa Roll' crooner, Modupe Oreoluwa Oyeyemi better known as Mo'Cheddah is presently enmeshed in a sizzling romance with Bukunyi, who is the son HRM David Victor Folagbade Olateru- Olagbegi, the Olowo of Owo in Ondo State.

A source revealed to Nigeriafilms.com that both lovebirds have been seeing each other for over a year. BK, as Bukunyi is fondly called, is the younger brother of popular Beat FM OAP, Gbemi. The source further revealed that both families of Mo'Cheeda and BK are acquainted, though BK has not formally talked about marriage plans, but that there is every possibility of that happening any moment.

BK is said to be an oil and gas 'big boy' who also has investment in real estate and entertainment industries. The source confided in us that BK handles the management of Mo'Cheddah.

The source further disclosed to us that BK was with his heartthrob in South Africa recently during the video shoot of Mo'Cheddah.

I Go Dye denies buying SUV for lover.

One of the most viral gist making the rounds in the entertainment industry right now, is the news that ace comedian and humor merchant, Francis Agoda a.k.a. I Go Dye, splashed an unimaginable N38 million naira on two exotic auto-mobiles; a 2012 Hybrid Escalade, (Platinum Edition) and a 2012 Range Rover Evoque.

The news broke when the widely travelled comedian spoilt himself a little with the Hybrid Escalade to commemorate his 18th anniversary on stage, while the next day marked the presentation of the Range Rover Evoque to his manager, Sharon, to ease official duties of his Seaside Entertainment Company.

I Go Dye Controversy, however, emanated after the presentation, as many saw it as a “Greek Gift” with an alarming undertone.

While a close source to the comedian argued that I Go Dye is a serious person who doesn’t mix business with pleasure, there is absolutely nothing intimate whatsoever going on between him and his manager, especially when the said SUV was bought in the company’s name and carries its official plate number “Seaside”.

The comedian denied having an affair with any woman, and insisted that the lady in question, Sharon, is his Personal Manager.

“First and foremost, I do not have any other lover apart from my beautiful wife who takes care of me and my son. Rather, the said Range Rover Evoque car was acquired for official purpose and it is only natural for the person at the helm of affairs to have more access to it, and that happens to be Sharon, the event manager, ” he explained.

We learnt that the delectable actress cum movie producer married one big time business consultant identified as Alaka. He is said to be a very connected man. The actress, as the reports put, has also moved into her hubby's multi-million Naira mansion located in Lekki, Lagos.

Since her movie premiere in mid 2011, Lilian has been off the scene in terms of making it to the headlines. Though she was at Shan George's movie premiere in May 2012, but the hype was not around especially with her public appearance after a long absence

Cobhams Asuquo's Mum Emerges 'Super Mom' Celebrity Edition Winner

Mrs Asuquo, mother of multiple award-winning music producer, Cobhams Asuquo has emerged the winner of the celebrity edition of popular TV programme, The Super Mom. She beat Mrs Cecilia Awotoye, mother of Tony Tetuila and Mrs Mary Agwu, Julius Agwu to win the show.

With her announcement as the show's winner, Mrs Asuquo has won 2million Naira which would be given to any charity organisation of her choice. She would also get to go for a trip abroad.

Narrating her story, Mrs Asuquo said while Cobhams was three months old, she noticed some things about him which made her take the boy first to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State before being referred to a Kaduna hospital. It was at the Kaduna hospital she was told that her child, Cobhams was visually impaired.

She further said while Cobhams's dad was sent for a peace-keeping mission in Chad Republic, she had to sell groundnut in order to use for the children's upkeep as her husband was unable to send money home for the family's upkeep.

Mrs Asuquo also said that when Cobhams told her he was leaving UNILAG, where he was studying Law, to study music, she was not surprised about it because Cobhams had shown musical traits while a boy.

Cobhams confirmed that his mum helped him become independent while growing up not minding his condition. He said his mum has made him who he is today.
